Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using GateDocs ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GateDocs is a file-sharing platform that allows users to upload, share, and track documents with built-in lead capture forms, password protection, and analytics.

We measure use of the Service in aggregate, including on pages you share, to operate and improve it. This measurement does not identify your recipients, and you can ask us to leave your shared pages out of it. Our Privacy Policy says what is counted.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

When you create an organisation, we send you up to three getting-started emails in your first two weeks. Each one has an unsubscribe link, and you can stop them from your Account page. Our Privacy Policy says what decides which ones you get.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to upload, share, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. You must not use the Service for spam or unsolicited communications.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you upload to GateDocs. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and deliver your files to your intended recipients.

6. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed monthly. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Data Retention

Cancelling a paid plan moves your organisation to the Free plan at the end of the billing period. Your files and data are kept, and the Free plan’s limits apply to anything you add afterwards. Files you move to the trash are permanently deleted after 30 days. Deleting your account permanently removes it; if you are the last member of an organisation, its files and data are deleted too. You may export your data at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

GateDocs is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
