Security
GateDocs holds your files and the lead details your forms collect. Keeping that data safe is core to the product. This page explains, in plain language, how we handle it.
Data Handling
When you upload a file, we store it in managed cloud storage. When a visitor fills in a lead form, we store what they enter. That is usually a name, email, company, and job title, plus a record of each view and download. This data belongs to your organisation. Rules in our database (row-level security) keep every organisation’s data separate. Your team can only see your own files, leads, and analytics.
Encryption
Data moving between your browser and GateDocs is encrypted in transit with TLS (HTTPS). Files and database records are encrypted at rest by our hosting platform. GateDocs runs on Supabase, which runs on AWS. We do not run our own servers or data centres.
GDPR
Yes. We take data privacy seriously. Collected lead data is stored securely, and you can delete individual leads or export and purge all data at any time. We process data in accordance with GDPR requirements. In practice, you stay in control of the data you collect. Remove a single lead from your dashboard. Export your leads as a CSV file. Or delete your files and their records at any time.
Data Residency
GateDocs runs on managed cloud services: Supabase for the database and file storage, and Vercel for the app. We do not name a fixed region on this page. If your organisation has rules about where data must live, contact us. We will confirm exactly where your data is stored and processed.
Deletion & Export
You can delete any file you have shared. Deleted files move to your trash first, so you can restore them if you change your mind. You can also delete a file for good. That removes the file and its share link. For lead data, you can delete single leads or export them all as a CSV file at any time.
